The Department of Internal Medicine in Family Medicine was established in August 2025 at the Central Asian Medical University - International Medical University, which began operating on October 3, 2022. Currently, this department is headed by PhD Kenjayev Olimjon Obidjonovich.
Currently, 2 associate professors, 1 PhD, 1 Ph.D., 1 Ph.D., 1 senior lecturer and 15 assistants are working in the department.

Main tasks of the department
The main task of the department is to contribute to the formation of a strong and effective medical system, which is the main goal of a democratic state, as well as to train competitive personnel with deep knowledge and skills, high moral qualities, and to provide our country with worthy, highly qualified personnel by teaching them the main pre-clinical and clinical modules to become masters of their specialties.
If we pay attention to the field of medical education in developed countries, we can see the integration of education with the medical system. That is, education, practice, high-quality medical technology. On this basis, CAMU Medical University has signed cooperation agreements with Belarus, Russia, Germany, Turkey, and Korea. It has been fulfilling its tasks of systematically improving the professional qualifications and skills of teaching staff, establishing internships for teaching and research staff in foreign countries, strengthening the scientific potential of the department, further developing scientific research, contributing to its integration with academic science, increasing the effectiveness of the scientific activities of the teaching staff, and attracting talented students and young people to engage in scientific activities, based on the "Roadmap" established in accordance with the agreements.

The department conducts scientific research in medical specialties; Medical areas. Currently, there are training and practice rooms for all modules, equipped with equipment and facilities that meet the requirements of the new era.
Achievements of the department for the current year
According to international indicators, the number of citations of the department`s teachers to publications was 50; articles published in international scientific journals (journals included in the Web of Science, Scopus database and the OAC list) was 1, and abstracts at international scientific conferences were 12.
