Urology and clinical pharmacology

The Department of Urology and Clinical Pharmacology was established in September 2025 under the Central Asian Medical University – International Medical University. Currently, the department is headed by Associate Professor, PhD in Medical Sciences, Dilmurod Kamolitdinovich Egamberdiyev.
At present, the department employs 1 Doctor of Science, 4 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD), 3 associate professors, 1 senior lecturer, and 9 assistant specialists.

The main mission of the department

The main mission of the department is to contribute to one of the key goals of our esteemed President — the development of a strong and efficient healthcare system — and to train highly qualified, competitive specialists who possess deep knowledge, strong professional skills, and high ethical standards. Through teaching core pre clinical and clinical modules, the department aims to prepare competent professionals who will serve our country with excellence in their respective fields.
If we look at the medical education systems of developed countries, we can observe a strong integration between education and the healthcare system; in other words, education itself functions as a high quality medical technology. Based on this approach, CAMU Medical University has signed mutual cooperation agreements with institutions in Belarus, Russia, Germany, Turkey, and South Korea.
In accordance with the “Roadmap” developed on the basis of the signed cooperation agreements, the department has been carrying out the following tasks: ensuring the continuous professional development and improvement of pedagogical staff, organizing internships and training programs for academic and scientific personnel in foreign countries, strengthening the scientific potential of the department, further advancing research activities, supporting the integration of scientific work with academic science, increasing the effectiveness of the scientific activities of faculty members, and engaging talented students and young researchers in scientific work.

Scientific research and directions initiated by the department

The department conducts scientific research in the medical fields of urology, clinical pharmacology, and neurosurgery.
Currently, laboratory sessions have been organized for all modules, and the department is equipped with modern instruments and equipment that meet current standards.

Since the beginning of this year, the department has achieved the following results:

• According to international indicators, the total number of citations to publications authored by the department’s faculty members has reached 105.
• Articles published in international scientific journals indexed in Web of Science, Scopus, and included in the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) list amount to 3, while the number of abstracts presented at international scientific conferences has reached 40.
• Articles published in national scientific journals (HAC) total 15, and papers presented at national conferences and symposiums amount to 12.
