Neurology

The Residency Program in Neurology is designed to train highly qualified specialists in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of disorders affecting the central and peripheral nervous systems using advanced medical technologies. Neurology plays a critical role in preserving patients’ quality of life and preventing long-term neurological complications. During the program, residents study stroke, epilepsy, neurodegenerative diseases, headaches, neuropathies, movement disorders, central nervous system infections, and other neurological conditions. Training includes the use of modern diagnostic tools such as neuroimaging (CT, MRI), electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and other instrumental techniques. Clinical training is conducted in specialized neurology departments and hospitals, where residents develop skills in comprehensive patient assessment, individualized treatment planning, rehabilitation strategies, and evidence-based pharmacotherapy. Graduates are prepared to work in multidisciplinary hospitals, neurology centers, rehabilitation facilities, research institutes, and private medical institutions as professional neurologists.
