Pediatrics

The Residency Program in Pediatrics is designed to train highly qualified specialists dedicated to protecting children’s health, providing early diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of childhood diseases. This specialty is based on an in-depth understanding of the anatomical and physiological characteristics of the growing child and aims to ensure healthy development from birth through adolescence. During the program, residents study diseases affecting children from the neonatal period to adolescence, including infectious and somatic conditions, immunization strategies, nutrition, developmental monitoring, and pediatric emergency care. Training includes modern laboratory and instrumental diagnostics as well as evidence-based treatment protocols. Clinical practice is conducted in children’s hospitals, specialized pediatric centers, and outpatient clinics, where residents develop skills in comprehensive child assessment, individualized treatment planning, and effective communication with families. Graduates are prepared to work in pediatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, perinatal centers, rehabilitation facilities, private healthcare institutions, and research organizations as professional pediatricians.
