Surgery

The Residency Program in Surgery is designed to train highly qualified specialists in the surgical treatment of diseases and injuries, ensuring safe operative procedures and comprehensive postoperative patient management. Surgery is one of the leading fields of modern medicine, requiring the application of innovative technologies and minimally invasive techniques. During the program, residents study abdominal diseases, acute surgical conditions, purulent-inflammatory processes, tumors, trauma, and other surgical pathologies, along with their operative management. Training emphasizes laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery, anesthetic support, principles of asepsis and antisepsis, and postoperative rehabilitation. Clinical practice is conducted in multidisciplinary hospitals and specialized surgical centers, where residents actively participate in surgical procedures, learn preoperative preparation, and manage patients during recovery. The curriculum integrates theoretical education, hands-on surgical experience, and research activities. Graduates are prepared to work in hospitals, surgical centers, emergency medical services, private clinics, and research institutions as professional surgeons.
