Umarov Ibjoximjon Samatovich was born on April 28, 1954, in Rishton district, Fergana region. In 1982, he graduated from the Central Asian Pediatric Medical Institute. In 1989, he completed his clinical residency at Andijan State Medical Institute.
He began his professional career in 1982–1983 as a Medical Intern at Fergana City Children’s Hospital. From 1983 to 1987, he worked as a Pediatric Surgeon at the Fergana Regional Children’s Hospital.
Since 1989, he has been serving as Head of the Neonatal and Pediatric Surgery Department at the Fergana Regional Multidisciplinary Children’s Medical Center. Since 2025, he has also been working as an Assistant at the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases at Central Asian Medical University (CAMU).
