The Department of Pediatrics was established at the Central Asian Medical University - International Medical University, which began its activities in October 2023. Currently, this department is headed by Kabilova Dilbar Kamilovna. Currently, 1 professor and 18 specialists work in the department.

The main task of the department
The main task of the department is to contribute to the formation of a strong and effective medical system, which is the main goal of a democratic state, as well as to train competitive personnel with deep knowledge and skills, high moral qualities, and to provide our country with worthy, highly qualified personnel by teaching them basic clinical knowledge and clinical modules to become masters of their specialties.
If we pay attention to the field of medical education in developed countries, we can see the integration of education with the medical system. That is, our educational practice is high-quality medical technology. On this basis, CAMU Medical University has signed cooperation agreements with Belarus, Russia, Germany, Turkey, and Korea.
It has been fulfilling its tasks such as systematically improving the professional qualifications and skills of teaching staff based on the "Roadmap" drawn up in accordance with the agreements, organizing internships for teaching and research staff in foreign countries, strengthening the scientific potential of the department, further developing scientific research, contributing to strengthening its integration with academic science, increasing the effectiveness of the scientific activities of the teaching staff, and attracting talented students and young people to engage in scientific activities.
International relations of the department
In August of this year, the Department of Pediatrics of the Central Asian Medical University developed a model work plan for international cooperation. Based on this plan, the following work was carried out until November.
The head of the Department of Pediatrics of the Central Asian Medical University, D.K. Kabilova, and the chief physician of the Fergana Regional Children`s Multidisciplinary Medical Center, Sh.B. Kuchkarov, jointly organized a trip to Turkey. The purpose of this trip was to organize training courses to improve the skills of doctors from the VBKTTM working as assistants in the Department of Pediatrics. FVBKTTM and the Department of Pediatrics have established cooperation with 3 prestigious foreign universities:
A cooperation agreement has been developed between the departments on academic exchange, joint research and internships for professors and teachers. It is planned to organize joint seminars and online master classes for students in cooperation with this university.
In addition, on the basis of cooperation, the assistant professor of the department I.Sayramov was sent to 10 working days of advanced training courses under the 100-hour (Training of Pediatric Cardiosurgery) program.
Cooperation relations were established between the Department of Pediatrics of the Central Asian Medical University and Medipol Mega Hospital University in Istanbul, Turkey. On the basis of this cooperation, the following agreement was planned:

Cooperation relations were established between the Department of Pediatrics of the Central Asian Medical University and Biruni Hospital University in Istanbul, Turkey. On the basis of this cooperation, the following agreement was planned:

Scientific work and directions initiated by the department
The department conducts scientific research in the following medical specialties: pediatric gastroenterology, pulmonology, hematology, neurology, pediatric intensive care, allergology, nephrology, cardiorheumatology and cardiac surgery, and in particular pediatrics.
Currently, the assistants of the Department of Pediatrics of CAMU are in the Medipol Mega Clinic in Istanbul.
Since this year, the department has achieved the following results:
• According to international indicators, the number of citations of the department`s teachers to publications is 50;
• Articles published in international scientific journals (journals included in the Web of Science, Scopus database and the OAK list) is 2, and abstracts at international scientific conferences are 25;
• Articles published in republican scientific journals (OAK) are 42, and articles at republican international conventions and conferences are 21.
