Main Objectives of the Department
The primary objective of the department is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of surgical diseases, including their diagnosis, management, and prevention, while simultaneously developing strong practical competencies. Special emphasis is placed on cultivating clinical reasoning, the ability to assess patient conditions accurately, and to choose the most effective treatment strategies.
The department is committed to integrating the latest advancements in medical science into the educational process, including minimally invasive surgical techniques, digital healthcare technologies, and elements of artificial intelligence. Another important goal is to foster professional ethics, responsibility, and a commitment to lifelong learning among future medical professionals.
The department offers a comprehensive curriculum covering both fundamental and clinical aspects of surgical sciences. The training begins with general surgery, where students learn essential principles such as asepsis and antisepsis, basic surgical techniques, and patient management.
As the program progresses, students gain in-depth knowledge in clinical surgery, abdominal and thoracic surgery, as well as modern areas such as endoscopic and minimally invasive surgery. Significant attention is also given to emergency medicine, traumatology, anesthesiology, and intensive care fundamentals.
The curriculum is structured to ensure that theoretical knowledge is effectively combined with practical clinical experience.
