The Department of Pediatric Surgery and Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine was established at the Central Asian Medical University - International Medical University, which began operating on October 3, 2022. Currently, this department is headed by Mamasaidov Jamolidin Turginboyevich.
Currently, the department employs 1 professor, 1 DSc, 1 associate professor, 1 associate professor, 2 PhDs, 2 senior lecturers and 19 specialists.

The main task of the department
The main task of the department is to contribute to the formation of a strong and effective medical system, which is the main goal of a democratic state, as well as to train competitive personnel with deep knowledge and skills, high moral qualities, and to provide our country with worthy, highly qualified personnel by teaching them the main pre-clinical and clinical modules to become masters of their specialties.
If we pay attention to the field of medical education in developed countries, we can see the integration of education with the medical system. That is, education, practice, high-quality medical technology. On this basis, CAMU Medical University has signed cooperation agreements with Belarus, Russia, Germany, Turkey, and Korea.
It has been fulfilling its tasks such as systematically improving the professional qualifications and skills of teaching staff based on the "Roadmap" drawn up in accordance with the agreements, organizing internships for teaching and research staff in foreign countries, strengthening the scientific potential of the department, further developing scientific research, contributing to strengthening its integration with academic science, increasing the effectiveness of the scientific activities of the teaching staff, and attracting talented students and young people to engage in scientific activities.

Scientific work and directions initiated by the department
The department conducts scientific research in the fields of medical specialties; neurology, psychiatry, internal medicine, and pediatric surgery.
Currently, laboratory classes have been established in all modules and are equipped with equipment and facilities that meet the requirements of the new era.
Since this year, the department has achieved the following results:
Articles published in international scientific journals (journals included in the Web of Science, Scopus and OAK databases) amounted to 20, and abstracts at international scientific conferences amounted to 23.
Articles published in republican scientific journals (OAK) amounted to 26, and abstracts at republican international conferences and meetings amounted to 23.
